Born in Malaga, American for many years, Spanish since always, Pepe Romero is not only one of the cardinal names in today's guitar, but also the most recognised member of an extraordinary saga of guitarists. From the magical setting of Les Arrayanes, he offers a programme focused on Granada and the Alhambra. A look at the Andalusian and Spanish universe, at legend and caprice, at night and serenity, culminating in the Andalusian Suite that his father, Celedonio Romero, passed on to him... This programme was filmed at the Patio de los Arrayanes (The Court of the Myrtles), whose name comes from the myrtle bushes that surround the central pond. The central pond (Alberca), 34 metres long, divides the patio and is fed by water from two other marble pools on each side. Its bright green colour offers a sublime contrast with the white marble floor and stalactites.
