In Egypt at the time of the pharaohs, the love of General Radames and the Ethiopian slave Aida was threatened by the war between their two countries. Amneris, daughter of the king of Egypt, is also in love with Radames: Aida, her slave, is therefore, by all circumstances, her unfortunate rival... The victory of the Egyptian troops is total and is worth a triumph to Radames, to whom the king offers his daughter Amneris as a reward. But, from glorious heroes, Radames will soon become pariah of his country, led to betray his people by entrusting important military secrets to Aida...
