Synopsis

Farnaces, a historical episode Son of Mithridates VI Eupator, Farnaces II was king of the Cimmerian Bosporus from 63 to 47 BC. Like his father, a sworn enemy of Rome, he took advantage of the quarrel between Caesar and Pompey to launch multiple conquests. His ambition was halted at Zela in 47 BC by a swift and crushing defeat at the hands of Caesar's troops.
