Three ballets to bring new life to major works of the choreographic heritage of Maurice Béjart. Through them, the project highlights Maurice's perspective on three different musical styles, thus illustrating the diversity and richness of his artistic approach.
Béjart Ballet Lausanne takes us on a Béjart discovery, 3 views: 3 ballets, a celebration of Maurice Béjart's unique and universal vision, an artistic journey where the master choreographer explores three distinct musical universes offering a plurality of emotions and reflections through dance. The first ballet, Mallarmé III (19'), explores contemporary territory to the music of Pierre Boulez. The second, Serait-il mort,(30') plunges into the classical repertoire with music from Richard Strauss's Last 4 Leaders. The third, Dionysos (suite) (50'), is rooted in the traditional musical repertoire, with music by Manos Hadjidakis.
